The BBQ Central Show is a weekly internet based show that airs live each Tuesday from 9pm-11pm EST originating from Cleveland, Ohio. Each show attempts to cover the big news items in the BBQ and Grilling industry in hopes of promoting the art and sport of barbecue. It is widely considered to be the longest running and BEST show of its kind on any type of medium. Join me each Tuesday and help spread the gospel of barbecue and grilling!
My first guest tonight is one of the most feared competition cooks on the circuit today especially when it comes to the world of Memphis In May. Melissa Cookston, pitmaster of Yazoo’s Delta Q, stops by or a visit to talk about the upcoming Memphis in May contest that will be going off this coming weekend. Yazoo’s is looking for their second overall win in as many years as well as going for their 4th whole hog win a row. Melissa will break it all down for us and give us the straight talk she has become known for on this show!
In the 3rd segment, I will be joined by the Official horse racing expert for the BBQ Central Show, Harry DeHorse. This weekend, the second leg of the Triple Crown will run as Orb looks to win the Preakness. Harry will briefly recap the Kentucky Derby and let us know who he thinks has the best shot at netting us out some straight cash this weekend!
My guest in the 2nd hour is a multiple time author, one of my favorite reality TV stars, he owns and is head chef for Tremont 647 and Sister Sorel located in Boston, Mass and is also a member of the very successful I-Que BBQ team. Andy Husbands joins me to talk about his new book, “Wicked Good Burgers”. Andy and Chris’s first book “Wicked Good BBQ” did so well, they were tasked at writing another book and it is now ready for you to enjoy! Andy will tell us what we can expect for their latest effort and what they have in the hopper.
Closing out the show tonight is the creator of a new grilling accessory looking to get your charcoal fires up and running quicker than you are used too. Bruce Prior, creator of the BBQ Dragon, joins me to talk about why he thought there was a need for this product and what you can expect if you purchase one.
