The BBQ Central Show

Description

The BBQ Central Show is a weekly internet based show that airs live each Tuesday from 9pm-11pm EST originating from Cleveland, Ohio. Each show attempts to cover the big news items in the BBQ and Grilling industry in hopes of promoting the art and sport of barbecue. It is widely considered to be the longest running and BEST show of its kind on any type of medium. Join me each Tuesday and help spread the gospel of barbecue and grilling!

Saffron Hodgson is the new Executive Director of the NBBQA…

(August 21, 2018 - Hour 2) n the 2nd hour, I was joined by the new Executive Director of the National BBQ and Grilling Association and creator of Bush Cooking, Saffron Hodgson. We talked about her passion for live-fire cooking...specifically dutch oven cooking, and them moving from Australia to the states.  From there we learned about her BBQ journey and how that led to her first contacts with the NBBQA.  We then talked about her hiring as executive director, what her take is on the state of the NBBQA and where it looks to go in the next 12 months or so. Helping me close the show tonight is a BBQ competition event organizer who has seen the number of KCBS contests shrink and is concerned. Carl Mcbee has a theory as to why this is happening...unfortunately, while he seems to be putting on some good events in Missouri (not Ohio) he didn't seem to have a great "concrete" opinion on why there are events falling off the table...some ideas, yes...but nothing he was staking his life on!…read more
